Research topics

Support for the laboratory’s scientific projects:

  • Participation in the activities of the palaeoenvironment division and its associated platform: preparation and analysis of sedimentary and palaeoecological samples.

  • Development of a limnology and palaeolimnology division: implementation of appropriate methodologies and processing of acquired data (Studies of macro‑ and micro‑invertebrate remains, including Chironomidae and Daphnia ephippia).
  • Participation in field operations for various projects developed by the unit or within external collaborations.

  • Development and implementation of approaches for assessing ecosystem services provided by different ecosystems (grasslands, forests, pastoral commons, crops).
  • Manager of a portable X‑ray fluorescence spectrometer (Niton XL3t handheld device) for detecting chemical elements in soils: implementation of this technology for issues related to pollution, soil quality and archaeology.
  • Supervision of undergraduate to Master’s students for sample preparation and use of the X‑ray fluorescence spectrometer.
  • Participation in the management of equipment and facilities.
  • Laboratory safety assistant.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS :

After the first part of my professional career within INSB, CNRS, in the fields of biotechnology applied to cancer research and immunology, I completed a professional Master’s degree (Year 2) in Ecology and Environmental Biosciences at ENSAT. I completed this training with an internship at the Dynafor laboratory (INRA), where I worked on assessing interactions between ecosystem services in arable farming, the role of landscape contexts, and consequences for production.
I then joined the GEODE laboratory of INEE, CNRS. To meet the needs of the scientific projects in which I am involved, I undertook training in the use of a portable X‑ray fluorescence spectrometer, R training, and the thematic school Cocodone, Data collection and preparation: the challenges of sharing.
