● Socio-environmental systems

Research topics

My research work falls within the field of interdisciplinary researches at the interface between environment and society, between past, present and future. It focuses on a spatial and human approach to landscape and biodiversity socio-spatial dynamics in natural and rural areas. I am particularly interested in the themes of forests, agro-biodiversity and agroforestry, but also invasive species and beekeeping, through practices, perceptions, representations and the impact of public policies.
This approach enables me to take into account the evolution and diversity of stakeholders and the interrelations between forms and processes, elements and system, local and global dimensions. My research contributes to a holistic understanding of environmental issues and the underlying environment-society relationships. It supports an applied geography of the environment, conducted in various territories (India, France, Romania...).
  • Key words : environment - landscape – farmers’ practices - forest - rural/domestic forest - nourishing forests - public policies - agroecology - perceptions - representations - trees outside forest - Green and Blue corridors - beekeeping - invasive species - sustainable development – biocultural diversity
