Launch of Workshop 3 – THED
Changes in socio-ecosystems: habitability and EEDD
- The first THED meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in person in room C236. A potluck lunch will be held for the occasion.
- The second meeting will be held on July 2 at 9:30 a.m.
- Validation and refinement of the workshop’s framework document
- Mapping of the socio-ecosystems under study
- Identification of common themes to strengthen cross-functional collaboration among teams
- Discussion of collective deliverables by 2032 and associated milestones
General Meeting: Tuesday 30 June at 9am, in room F422-23
Lunch will be a potluck: everyone is invited to bring a dish to share.
In the evening, a meal at a restaurant is planned, paid for by the laboratory.

The interview for the recruitment of PhD students at the TESC Doctoral School
Timetable and recruitment procedure for candidates for the next CDU for GEODE:
- Deadline for submitting topic proposals: to be sent to me by 12 noon on 23 March at the latest
- Assessment and approval of topics by the GEODE doctoral committee: 26 March 2026
- Selection of candidates by the topic supervisors: applications from candidates proposed by the topic supervisors must be sent to me by 19 May 2026 at the latest
- Approval of proposed candidates and organisation of the candidate interview process: meeting of the GEODE Doctoral Committee on 26 May 2026
- Interviews with candidates and ranking by the GEODE Doctoral Committee + possibly one representative from TESC: 12 June 2026
- Deadline for the GEODE Doctoral Committee to submit the application or the shortlisted candidate to the TESC Doctoral School: 23 June 2026
- Mock interview(s) for the shortlisted candidate before the Doctoral Committee between the end of the interviews and 1 July
- Interviews by the TESC Doctoral School for the awarding of contracts: 2 July 2026
For those wishing to submit a thesis topic this year, here is the information you need to include in the document to be sent to Sylvie Guillerme :
Full name of the project’s HDR supervisor / and, where applicable, full name of the co-supervisor
- Project title
- Scientific focus of the project
- Originality of the project (and, where applicable, willingness to take risks)
- Feasibility of the thesis
- Scientific environment (network, collaborations, etc.)
- Planned funding [excluding the doctoral contract] (assignments, equipment, etc.)
